National Tea Day 2021

National Tea Day in UK, celebrated in April every year.

Who doesn't love a cup of tea?

Today I took my afternoon cup around our store and found so many cosy corners that I couldn't decide which I liked best. Over the past year this comforting hot beverage has been sustaining us through some turbulent times.

Each year April always brings us lots to celebrate including Spring flowers, our Queens birthday and this year a celebration of the life of her husband Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh.

For the past two centuries the United Kingdom has been enjoying the hot fragrant flavour of carefully chosen teas. And collectively tea drinkers in Britain consume more than 60 billion cups a year, so it is right that we have a National Tea Day!

We have such a wide variety of types of tea and they all serve a different purpose. I jumpstart my day relaxing for ten minutes with a steaming mug of Breakfast tea.

Henry James said "There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.”

Despite tea being drunk all around the world, the UK has made it clear that nobody celebrates tea better than they do.

Even more important is to enjoy the right seat and location for your all important reviver with 10 minutes away from the world to enjoy some tea by yourself or with friends.

If you want to treat yourself to a new tea "perch" or something a bit grander, take a stroll with me through just a few of the items we have in store. Watch our little video below.
